Man-Machine Interface Laboratory
Over the years UGC-HRDC, CU, has built up impressive infrastructural facilities in order to cater to the needs of our participant colleagues from the different colleges and universities. The latest addition to our infra-structural facilities is the Man-Machine Interface Laboratory housing state–of-the-art equipments and software.
List of Available Infrastructure #
We have a floor space of about 5000 sq. ft. area in the entire first floor of SINP Hostel Building in Rasbehari Sikshaprangan (Rajabazar Science College Campus) of the University of Calcutta.
Automatic lift facility is available.
There are two air-conditioned class rooms, one administrative office, and one reading room. The lecture rooms are equipped with audiovisual facilities viz. TVs, VCRs, multimedia and over hanged LCD Projectors, microphones and smart boards.
Separate rooms with all basic facilities are provided to the Director and faculty members.
We have one guest house with 20 exclusively owned well furnished comfortable rooms in two floors for the participants and resource persons.
A total number of 2375 books have been purchased for the attached library. Besides, access can be given to the huge pool of e-books/ journals subscribed by the University of Calcutta.
We have 2 LAN Laser Printers, 8 Laptops and 2 Handicams
The software in the laboratory include: MATLAB 7.1, 3 users; Multilingual MS Office; UBUNTU free operating software; Pinnacle Picture editing hardware and software; VLC media player; ACROBAT PDF converters; Open Office windows and LINUX versions; Java MIS software designed WINJIP, WINRAR.
The office is connected with landline telephone, FAX and high-speed internet.
Uninterrupted supply of water and electricity is assured.
Hygienically clean toilets for ladies and gents are attached in the same floor.
Adequate space is available for construction of a day-care centre, a resource persons’ lounge, one activity room for the coordinators, and a store room for office records.
