About Us

The Administrative Staff College has been set up with the help of the UPE fund for imparting training to the non-teaching staff and officers of the University.

Various ongoing and emerging challenges in higher education sector call for appropriate skills and competencies on the part of educational administrators to prepare the institutions to take on these challenges. Administrative machinery, which is not equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude and which is not in harmony with the needs of progress, can retard the pace of development. A flexible pattern of organisation, which is responsive to the changing needs of society, global trends and knowledge, can be a powerful factor in accelerating progress. In an era of collaborative education, globalisation and competition, the higher educational institute will have to be managed more professionally.

The main objective of the Administrative Staff College is to develop a comprehensive understanding of University rules, regulations, and to acquaint the trainees with the provision of different facets of various activities pertaining to their assigned responsibilities.

The Administrative Staff College is located at College Street Campus to offer orientation courses and impart ICT skill to officers and employees. Till date 31 courses have been organised in which 995 people have participated. The Administrative Staff College is fully air-conditioned and has computer, internet & power-point presentation facilities. It has INFLIBNET available on intra networked computers. A roof top garden has also been created adjacent to the Administrative Staff Training College.
